Awesome, I'm jealous! Be sure to post pics!

There are many good tire choices out there. Running 265s up front, you should be prepared to run a conservative ride height and roll the fenders. As always with running a taller tire up front than stock, there is the increased chance of hitting the fender liner on hard bumps/dips. This can be countered by running reasonably close to stock ride height and/or running stiffer springs. Other than that, they should work great.

As to tire choices, I and others have posted the "usual suspects" for good tires several times, you can do a search using my username. Looking at tire specs, you'll want to avoid a brand running a "tall" 265/35 tire. Eliminate any brand over 25.4" diameter -- in this case, shorter is better!

If all this doesn't so good, you can just get the 18x8.5 GT-2s up front and run 245/35 tires. You'll lose the ability to rotate tires (important for a "daily driver") and you'll pick up a little bit of understeer, but you'll have easier clearance issues.

I don't need to drop an extra thousand bucks to be "JDM". I wanted the Tirerack version. The s2k community is ridicules with all the JDM parts. No one gives any respect around there unless you drop $1200 bucks on a Spoon Intake and $1300 bucks on a Mugen header. Dumbasses.

*edit* I forgot about the latest craze that is going over on that forum. Paying 4k for a carbon fiber hardtop from Spoon.

Jeff...my God! I'm not knockin on the S2K, in fact I love the car..it's really nice (too bad I can't fit in one) but w/ the kind of money it seems they're throwing around, maybe they coulda sprung for a nicer sports car, say maybe an NSX?

Thanks for the advice, Rynberg! I will likely go the more conservative route; the car is already lowered some.

This may be a dumb question but can I get the GT3s in 18x8.5F and 18x10 R for an FD without any problems? And for what price? I figure they will fit but Tirerack kept insisting they wouldn't fit and you can get a price unless they fit according to their guide.

Right now I have Enkei RPO1s in the same height and width but I want to change things up a little. If the price is right I might spring for the GT3s.

You can't get the GT3s. They're discontinued and they won't fit. Don't bother getting them, and they're ugly and very very expensive. Besides, the LAST thing we need is the local Mr. Knightsports headlights to get my rims too!

Its your car I saw them on. I like them dammit! I really only want to spend about $1500-2000 on a new set of wheels but I might just have to bite the bullet and buy CCWs now.

I chatted and kinda argued w/ Connor for a few min lol. He insisted there are a MULTITUDE of measurements that must be taken into account when picking a rim...I (being ignorant lol) said I only care about size, width, and offset. The rest, I can make work, given a bit of fender work or suspension adjustment.

After a bit of pushing and pulling, he revealed that they DO have the GT3s in 9s in the front, and 10.5s in the rear, w/ the same offset as the 8.5s and 10s (37 front, 41 rear). But he warned me that they'd write ALL OVER the box "fitment NOT guaranteed" etc. I was like I know I know... Gosh, I just wish I knew they had these sizes BEFORE I got mine... Oh well.
