If you must use spacers that style is generally prefered.

I know a few guys that run these style. Make sure they're hubcentric, and use a torque wrench for all of the bolts. I wouldn't use these if you are putting down serious power though.

I run them in 30mm on the front, no problems with them what so ever with sliding/high speeds etc.

Just make sure they have the locating ring on them, otherwise all the stress is placed on the wheel studs - they are not designed to hold the weight of the wheel and WILL fail.

No, that's not how it works, the studs don't take that loading, the friction between the spacer and the brake disc, and the friction between the spacer and the wheel holds the car up. Centering rings are just for conveniance when putting on the wheels.
