Any FC's with JIC, Apex'i, Tein, or HKS coilovers?

I'd just like to hear some input from people runniny either a JIC, Apex'i, Tein, or HKS coilover setup. Looking into buy new suspension but not really sure what kind yet. Was going to get JIC, but a 7F/5R spring rate seems a little low for my liking. Kinda like Tein's Type RA setup which runs 10F/8R setup. Thanks.

You can make a special order through JIC USA to get any spring rate you want but it is my personal belief that 10/8 is gonna ride like crap on the street and probably handle even worse.. there is such a thing as too stiff for the street. JDM kits are made for JDM roads(which are much smoother than U.S. roads.) However if you want high spring rates JIC will do it for you. besides JIC FLT A2 has a rate of 8k front 6k rear. plus monotube design plus ride height is adjustable by lower bracket not lower spring seat, allowing you to adjust ridfe height without loosing suspension travel

We have begun running about 5 FC's as of last week for Roadrace and autox in northern california. Keep a watch out as we'll be up in the running.

Currently have

2 - GTUs
3 - S5 T2's.

The majority of these have the remaing JIC suspension and exhaust systems as well.

FYI, THey're frikin' amazing. I actually wanted to say the F word. Come down and take a test drive. My GTUs has Hoosier A3S03's on it right now and that's a lot of fun. But initially had some 225/50/16's and the ride was amazing set at 5 front and 7 rear.

One of my guys/mechanic is gonna be running his GTUs up at thunderhill on Thursday and that will be some good feedback. i can tell you that they're amazing from the drifting and gripping that I've been doin' around the freeway on/off ramps. Wooo Hooooo!!!!!!

If you ask we will provide. People asked for testing and feedback so that's what we're doing. We're bringin' the FC back to life. A couple of these will be shown at Import Revolution in San Mateo, CA on Aug. 31.

If in cali come by and take a look.

Thanks, rishie

Wow....I ddin't know JIC will custom do spring rates....I'm going to try to get an 8/6 set up, or possibly an 8/7. Does anybody know how close the fronts and rears should be on the FC?

ARD T2.....good to hear you're bringin back the FC. I'm here in Austin and we have some awsome roads in the hill country.

VooDooracing and I, are building a GTU-S right now from ground up and we are going to run TEIN's on it (either the RA or the FLEX). This car will be primarily for Auto-x and Road race. When the car is done we will let you know how it does.

VoodooRacing ran his FD with TEIN RE's on thunderhill this tuesday and it handled awesome. A professional racecar driver drove his car and agreed that the suspension was very very nice as well.

I rode in a Tein equiped car last week, it was amazing... The car rides pretty good, little firm. But it handles so good at Road Atlanta, I am very impressed.

Yeah, I drove mine on the street and my teeth didn't chatter out of my jaw. So that was a good thing. I was really impressed with the very streetable nature as well as the trackable nature of the FLT-A2's.

Really need to just look at your function. IF you want a full race suspension or something that's the best of both worlds. That's what has been emphasized with the USDM version of the FLT-A2's. There are a million options for stiffer suspension.

I recently purchased a set of JIC's from Japan, hope to get them within a month or so... Can't wait to feel the difference from my current setup.

ARD T2...
I didnt know you deal JIC, i could have just bought them through you, I didnt think too many people deal with them in the states, and if so, for a decent price. Im assuming you still do all the rim deals correct? I was hoping to get a new set soon, I sold my FD wheels for Konigs and havent forgived myself since... Should have just got the right rims the first time. Let me know what you can do, thanks!

The konigs, they are the trafficks in black, or carbon, whatever they call it. They are just not what im looking for, they are only 7 inches wide to... . I got 245's on the back but still. Haha, ive only had them on for about 500 miles. Id like to see what kind of deals Rishie gets and hopefully get a new set of wheels.

I was thinkin about getting fender flares for at least the rear... Anyone got any ideas of flares offered in the states?

Initial D,

PM me with your budget and requirements/functions. Sounds like you got some power so you know I'll say forged, but I guess that depends on what you do primarily. Enkei Tuning makes some very sweet wheels that will be hitting the market in a month or so. Most of the JDM Enkeis seen on the track. Exclusive to special Dealers, us being one of them. For a cast wheel Enkei Tuning is where it's at.

Dude, you should have called JIC USA, Ziel Motorsports. They would have told you I'm FC crazy. I stock the FLT-A2's for the FC.

Did you buy them gray market? If so you'll definitely have a different setup than what we have. But I'd be interested in finding out the difference. I'm gonna have a custom valved/springed set for the Widebody GT-X to roadrace.

We do a lot more than I publicize on the forum because I don't like to step on people's toes. I don't publicly offer many of the same products Jason does for that reason.

Laters, Rishie

Cheers!.....those are the rims I bought the car with. I dunno if they're the same kind that came on the Enfini or not. I'm getting new rims though. Probably some Enkei RPM2's from Rishie (ARD T2), but I'm keeping these ones too. I like them a lot, but they're just not wide enough for me. Probably throw them back on when I wanna throw the rear end around a bit

Just finished puttin in my RB exhaust system....that thing kicks so much ***....i'm only running .5 bar with it but it feels like twice as fast, twice as responsive, and hits max boost at like 3000rpm.

You wouldn't happen to be in contact with the previous owner still would you?

I have his number but I don't really ever talk to him. Hist english isn't very good and he's really not into rx-7's either. He sold the car cause he wanted something more luxurious. I've seen the rims online before....i'll see if I can find them again
