Question Aftermarket Springs => Ride Hight

This is probably a stupid question, but here goes:

With aftermarket springs like the ones Racingbeat sells, they lower the car 1". This is not overly practicle for 'round the town driving. Is there any way to reduce the hight change without compromising the spring performance?

Thanks.

I don't follow what you want. do you want the same ride height and better performance or lower ride height but only 0.5" or something. Or do you want the 1.0" RB springs.

Let me know as we're a RB dealer.

Sorry for the lack of clarity. I'd like similar ride hight with better performance.

I'd suggest just upgrading your struts to KYB AGX's. That would make your car remarkably better while retaining similar ride quality and such. This will not lower your vehicle.

BTW, a one inch drop on the FC is quite minimal. You should be able to do everything you were before with the car.

Are you sure? It looks like the tires (stock size) would *just* fit when the car is only sitting there. I was thinking of the KYB shoclks & RB springs.

Thanks.

Your stock tire size should be a 205/55/16 or a 205/60/15. Are your stock springs cut which may create an illusion or possibly the struts are so far gone that the car is sagging.

On my T2 with stock suspension the floor to the bottom of the front fender is about 25.5 inches from the floor. Cross check this with yours and we'll see if there's an issue there.

Your hight was the same as mine. I've got 100% stock rims and the tires are stock size. There is only 1.5" between the fender and the tire. It really seems like it would rub when depresed if lowered any.
