Question 88 N/a Rims question

Hey does anyone know if I put 17" rims on my 88 GXL will I be able to do a 1.75" drop. I want to be able to not have any rubbing with normal driving. If not I will go with 16s, but I really want those springs from Intrax. Thanks.

I'll sell you my Intrax springs if you want. They are too low and soft for me, although the ride is great. And yes you can do 17's no problem, remember that the circumference and diameter of the tire wheel combo must be the same to retain the stock gearing. Therefore it all depends on the offset and width of the wheel.

If you need assistance with the wheels and would like to buy my springs for cheap, let me know. I need to do a few things before I can take them off. Leave your response here as I am going out of town for a few days, and will have one of my associates checking up on it for me.

We provide rims and tires to forum members at heavily discounted prices as well, therefore if you want help, just ASK. I am a good person to consult with, jusk ask the other guys in this section.

I am running 17, 8 and 18,8.5 on one of my several FCs, with 225,40 and 255,35. I can reccommend a tire size once we've looked at the dimensions of the wheel you decide on, until then there are no answers. Must eliminate some variables from the equation, i.e.

1. budget w/ tires
2. functionality
3. Style preference
4. Shipping address

The rest is cake.

Thanks, Rishie

yea well the rims I want are 17x8, 17x7 if necessary. I want the car to be as low as possible without any rubbing at all. Hmmm....let me make sure of that. Well I want the car low and no rubbing. Sure there are ways to get the cars lower than I want. Well how much do you want for the springs shipped to FL zip 33534? What kind of condition are they in and how long have you had them on the car? And why don't you like them? I mean I don't want to buy a bad product. What do you mean by "too soft"? I want a good low ryde. Just be honest with me, thanks.

o yea...the rims I want are on the focalwheels.com website, the R3. Let me know what tire sizes would be good and if you can get these rims/tires. Thanks.
