how do I check/repack the rear wheel bearings, I have the drum rears just so everyone knows

 

the rear outter bearings are sealed, and pressed onto the axel. so you have to pull the axel, take them to a machineshop and have them cut off the retaining colar. Then press on the new bearings. the haynes manual explains it, although not in great detail. The bearings are the same for disc and drum.
