Much better in that wheel would be 18x8.5, 18x9.5, B-disk, +40 offset. Proper tire sizes would be 235/40 or 245/35 fronts, and 265/35 18 rears.

You may catch the front fender lips with the Eibachs, so rolling the front fenders is advised.

Go w/ 245/35-18. Nearly identical to the stock/wheel/tire in diameter. 235/40-18 is almost 2" larger and VERY prone to hitting the liner or fender. Only issue is tire selection, FWIW.

235/40 is only 0.4" larger than stock diameter.....I only hit the fender liners on very hard bumps and I am much lower than Eibachs....

On paper perhaps, however, as you know, there are variances in tire shape from brand to brand (https://www.rx7club.com/suspension-wheels-tires-brakes-20/fawked-up-my-fender-337757/). I test fit a set of 235/40-18s and rubbed my fender liners, then switched to 245/35-18 on the same wheels, and never hit anything ever. (Of course, YMMV)

True, there is very little difference between hitting and not hitting...

And I DO hit the fender liner after all, but only on very bad dips in the road (as compared to bumps, strike what I said earlier). I have never caught the fender lip though (on 8.5 +45 offset).

Gil, you aren't the first person to state that wider but shorter tires tend to fit better up front than taller narrower ones, but your experience does add yet more credibility to the theory.

In MY case anyway, all of these sort of problems are going to end soon....box of Zeal Function B6 sitting in the garage waiting to go on....yee-haw.

I wish you the best of luck finding the gram lights. I couldn't find them anywhere that it wouldn't take 3 months to get them. I was trying to get 17" however. There was no place in the US that had them though.

All Ray's Wheels take 3 months. It's just the way it is.
