3rd gen sitting unlevel?
1) Well I just put Eibach/Illuminas on my car and haven't gotten it aligned yet, but I took the tape measure out and the fronts match in ride height, but the rear passenger side sits @ 25.5" while the drivers side is at 24.5" It's really got me wondering what might be the problem. I believe the car was level when I took it to Gotham and they aligned it for me on the stock R1 blown shocks and R1 springs. Then I changed out the rear shocks for Illuminas on the stock R1 springs and it sat uneven so I thought maybe the R1 springs were just old and tired (maybe from a hefty previous owner) so I picked up an Eibach Pro kit and new (not the same rears) Tokico Illuminas. Now when I say the shocks were bad I mean bad. I pushed the rod in and it took 5 minutes to rebound the other I pushed all the way in and it never came back out. If the car was aligned and adjusted to these specs in the suspension would that be possible for the difference in ride height when I put a fresh suspenion on?
2) Also what are my options to address my newfound camber. The fronts actually don't look to bad, but the rears are obvious. I don't really want to mess with what Mazda engineers designed too much so I went with the minimal drop. The way the RX7 delivers camber from the factory seems like one wouldn't want to mess with it too much. Just curious as to what my options would be.
3)My car seems a lot smoother, but just thinking in my head about the suspension. If I were to put the shocks to a stiffer setting would it potentially help. I started thinking and just thought if it's softer but the springs is harder maybe they just aren't matching for the optimal ride. Just a random thought that flew in my head ust now.
Sorry for the big book of questions and I tried the search function, but I had a few circumstancial question that I really wanted to have addressed. And thank you in advance.
