2nd Gen, Basic susp options needed...

I have a 88 N/A and im pretty sure the susp has just about had the bun. I can feal every little crack and dimple in the road.

I'm looking for some new springs and shocks to get this thing fealing a little more smoother but still keeping the sporty fealing. Don't really want to lower the car much if at all. Is it possable to purchase a spring/shock combo that is ready to slap right onto my car, so i don't have to compress the spring and all that crap? Just take off the bolts holding the top and lower part of the shock off. Take out the complete shock and simple put in the new complete one?

So just give me some ideas.. Remember try to keep it simple and smooth but still give that sporty fealing.
Thanks

It'll be very hard to find a spring/strut setup where you don't have to compress the springs to get everything together.

I've done multiple suspension replacements on Subarus and Hondas, and there was ONE combo on a Subaru where I didn't need to use spring compressors (but I did have to push down like crazy to get the top-hat bolt on).

Otherwise, I haven't seen any place online that would pre-assemble them for you (for the FC)...but I'm sure if you called some of the shops, they may do it for you... (but you'll have to now pay for a new top-hat, and possibly other random bolts). Either that, or bring it to your local mechanic, just take the springs and struts, after dropping out the fully-assembled suspension bits from your current car, and ask them to swap it. It'll probably be cheap, and it'll definitely be quick (unless they suck)

one of my friends just bought a T-II that came with the ST springs and KYB struts.

He's getting rid of them in favor of Tein HA's. He said that the front end feels kinda bouncy. But he also said that the front springs feel soft. That seems to oppose the original statement.

Either way, I'll be buying those from him this spring to upgrade my GXL suspension. Only then, would I be of any use (from first-hand experience)

What's your budget? That would help isolate a coilover.
