265/35/18 on 18x10.5 within manufacturer specs?

I have been looking at new rims and tires. It seems that most 265s say they are good up to 10.5"

what do you guys think of this?

You should be fine, particularly if the manufacturer lists it in the range.

Those are great tires, back in the late 90s they were the premier street tire to run on your FD

They will fit fine, but wouldnt you rather use a wider tire out back if you can. If i bought a 10.5 inch wide wheel, i would want to get as much tire out back as possible without rubbing.

Sorry to burst your bubble but those tires are just okay. If he goes with the Bridgestone’s he should get the S-03 they are WAY better. But then again that’s just my opinion and just like *** holes, everybody’s got one

Fit? Yes. I would say they are going to be stretched looking though. I agree, why not put a 275-285 on there instead?

I had the S-03s on my old rims and liked them a lot. I went with the Advan Neova AD07.

You didn't burst my bubble, because I don't agree with you .

I ran 2 sets of S02s on my FD, followed by a set of S03s.

The S02s are stickier, with a treadwear rating of 140. For the S03s they raised the treadwear to 180, because people were complaining of the S02s wearing out too quickly. Guess what happened? The S03 wasn't as sticky a tire, and didn't perform as well. I roadraced my FD on the same track with both sets of tires, and the S02s were much better than the S03s. Likewise, the S02 was a much better tire on the street.

I agree that they're outdated technology, but there is no way the S02s are 'just okay' in my opinion

Prew, you're going to love the AD07s, I've heard nothing but good things about them. Of course, they aren't cheap
