Are 19" rims too big

eh- the simple solution for performance, looks good, and price is those 16x8 sportmax wheels on ebay. they come in a couple styles. people give them lots of **** cause its a cheap company, but whatever. i'd rather break a 100$ wheel than dent a 600$ wheel.
another cheap option is any wheel for 98-04 mustangs. quite a few people run GT 17x8's. they fit great, dont look too bad, and can be found for 200 a set.
beyond that.. i dunno. look in the pictures section or something.

It rides wonderfully, and grips like you wouldn't believe. Of course, it has suspension mods, too. Performance? It's an NA 'vert. What performance? Nothing a piston swap wouldn't fix.

Top speed has nothing to do with wheel size. Wheel size/weight affects acceleration. Cornering/handling goes down with wheel weight but tires are the more important factor for that.
If you don't know the difference between acceleration and top speed, and don't figure it out on your own, don't worry about it. Just buy whatever because it won't matter.

Grassroots motorsports did a comparison test on a BMW where they used 17x8's and 225/45/17's and 18x8's with 225/40/18's, so FC appropriate sizes and wheels and tires were the same other than the size. The 17's rode better and were faster.
To me 18's look too big on an FC and 16's look to be on the small side, I like the way 17's look, but if you want performance, get some wide 15's and race tires.

rotational weight increases almost exponentially the larger the rim. black91n/a said it to the T. i felt a HUGE loss in power when i went from my stock 15in bbs rims to my 17" but then again it wasnt meant for performance. 15 or 16 all day long for performance plus considerably cheaper and ALOT more available. 17" at the largest but 16" for a great balance between show and performance.
