19" Rims on FD ok?

Is it ok to put 19 x 8.5 front and 19 x 9.5 out back? Ok for streets? race? Will these work with stock springs and suspension?

Thanks

Race, absolutely not unless they're Volk TE37's which are very light. Street, okay, likely to bend. Will work fine with stock suspension depending on their offsets. List the offsets and I'll better answer your question.

Thanks, Rishie

in my opinion 19" wheels are a perfect size for the fd's. you might find them a bit heavy though.

i think they are ok for show, but even for race or road race i think they are very inefficient. first of all, they are heavy, second of all there is too much rotational mass involved in a wheel that big. most importantly, what kind of racing tires are available for 19 inch wheels? You have to take that into consideration as well if you are serious about racing. 18's are the max that you should go provided that you have an upgraded big brake kit requiring you to upgrade to large wheels. if you are running stock calipers then 17 inchers are the way to go. The best tires are offered in 17 inches that some aren't even offered as 18's. Keep that in mind if you wanna race. Another important thing that ARD mentioned was that 19's would most definitely bend on the street even if it is a forged wheel. After that your ability to race decreases drastically

I dont have the offsets yet, seller does not know but will find out. These are on a 94 Supra but I will pass on them for 2 reasons: Tires are too expensive and My fav tire S-02s are not available in 19s.

Thanks everyone

No, definitely NOT, unless you've got a showqueen for an FD Rx7
