If this is for an FD, +45 is better than +40 and is a great fitment. My wheels are those exact sizes/offsets: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ighlight=enkei

How bad was your gearing drop with those tires?

A 265/35 18 tire is only (nominally) 1.6% larger in diameter than stock. This equates to a 4.0:1 rear end, instead of 4.1:1. Hardly an issue. I'm sure it's less of an issue than the 7lb/corner increase in unsprung weight at both back wheels....(with MY setup).
