18's?

Can i fit a set of 18's on my fc? just curious cause to me there's too much space in the rear fenderwells with 17's. Plus i kinda like the way sports cars look with 18's

I have 18" wheels on my car at the moment.

I am using 18x8" all round with 18/40/225 on the ft and 18/35/245 on the rear, they fit fine just dont know how accurate the speedometer reading is?

I admit i have 1" drop and they make the car look good but i jumped from stock to 18" so i felt it holding the car back.

i also have 18s on my fc n/a and it definetely took away some of the straight line performance, but damn my car looks good. i have eibach pro kit springs but i am going to get ground control coil overs cause there is still way to much gap between the fender and the tire, it is also harder to launch with them on, i broke the bushingthat holds the rear end to the subframe when i was racing once, cause it takes a lot to spin them off the line.

My Recipe for the FC. They're my specialty, hehe. An 8" wheel up front is cool with a 225 and +37-+40. For the rear you can run up to a 9.5" by removing the heat shields from the muffler canisters. Those will require a +35-+38.

If you're interested in finding some well priced staggered fitment wheels, I'm the man. ****, it's what I've lived for in finding wheels for all my FC's.

If you tell me budget range I could probably find you something sickening. Wheel bending is something that is always a possibility. When you got nice **** you gotta take care of it and drive cautiously.

I've used 18x8.5 up front with 225/35, and 18x9.5 rear with 255/35(and I can even go up to a 265/35) with no problems or removing of the heat shield. Offset is the key.

Good Luck

So if I want to add the 18"s to my '88 Vert, with no suspension mod's & w/o rolling fenders, what widths and offsets should I pursue?
