18" SSR comps

I've read a post in the past where it was theorized that 18" x 9.5 SSR comps with 50offset would fit front and back with stock diameter springs. Is this a proven fitment, has anyone tried it.

Yes.

I have that exact setup as per Manny's(sleepr1) advise. It works beautifully. No rubbing at all. Just make sure to use 265/35/18's.

My car is a R1 though, not sure if the stiffer springs help or not.

Can you run 17X9.5 with 265/40/17's all around as well???
I've got coilovers if it matters.

I *think* so. Pretty sure you need 255/40's and a 50 offset though.

Manny will know.

That should be fine, glassman. You will need close to +50 offset up front.

265/40-17s might be a tad tall. If you can get the wheels in 50-mm offsets, you should be ok though.

You only need 2.5-inch coil springs if you plan to do 10 wides x 18 diameters all around with 285/30-18 tires.

Talk to John Purner @ Complete Custom Wheel for 50-mm offset 9.5 x 17 wheels.

FWIW the Comps are only available in 42-mm offsets for 9.5 wide x 17 diameters. You'll be limited to 255/40-17 tires for proper clearance up front.

Yeah the 9.5 x 18s come in 50-mm offsets. You could run 265/35-18s
