18" fc tire size question

hey just wondering, what size 18" tires would work on my new rims?

oh yeah, i have stock fenders!!!!!

f 18x8 +30 (thinking of using 215-35-18 or 225-40-18)

&

r 18x9 +35 (thinking of using 245-40-18 or 255-35-18)

i really want to use the 225-40 & 255-35 but does it matter the difference in the height of the sidewall of the tire?

225/40 and 255/35 have the same sidewall height. You need to read up on aspect ratios, this is basic tire knowledge.

but the sidewall on the 35 series tire is a lower profile than the 40 series.
what i'm asking is half an inch going to make a difference in the ride quality in the rear of the car and will it look a little wierd with the lower profile(usually you have more meat on a rear-wheel drive car on the rear wheels)

thanks

^^What He said^^

The 40 and 35 series refers to the tires aspect ratio. Its a percentage of your tires width. So a 35 series tire's side wall height is 35% of its width. So your 225/40 is 225 mm wide which is roughly 8.86" wide and 40% of that is 3.54". So your side wall heightis 3.54". Now your 255/35 is 255mm wide (10.04" wide), with an aspect ratio of 35% which equals 3.51". So your rear tires will be .06" less in diamter or .03" in radius. In other freakin words there the same damn height front and rear. Those wheel and tires choices will work GREAT on your FC. A 275/35 and a 205/35 will have two totally different profile heights, again, because its a percentage of width.
