The short answer is yes. You would need to pull the fender about 20mm which would have a crazy big lip on it. To fit a 255 up front you would need about a 5mm spacer to clear. See this thread for proper fitments for RPF1 on FC:

What are JIC OEM FC fenders?
I have the 17x9 +22 RPF1s right now.
You have to minimum roll the lip. A slight pull would help. A 255 tire in the front will be tough to fit even with coilovers and massive camber.
For that width tire up front, you should just go with aftermarket wide fenders. Save time and money.

Right, the tire size is what will kill you. I run 235's up front without issues on a rim setup that should have the same spacing between the back side of the wheel and the coilover.
I had thought this would be a race type setup needing the wide 255 up front, but there's really no logical way to do that on an FC with stock fenders.

The MARIAH Mode Five Front fenders were initially designed for our SCCA E-Production race cars, but we found they looked great on street RX-7s as well. These slightly wider front fenders (1.25" per side; 69.25" width overall) allows one to run equal width rims front and rear, without the rim width being determined by the narrower front fenders. These are a direct replacement (bolt-on) for the Mazda factory fenders! Please call us for full details.
