well i am entertained with my tires. If I would swap out my 255 in the front for 235 i should be ok reading that what Blue copy and pasted then posted as well. i think i may have to try this. I also read that fitment chart and thought I was safe, but i was wrong. still doing research before spring hits.

My set-up was at max camber (-2.4) in front.

Each degree of - camber is ~5mm in at the top of the tire so can take ~10mm wider tire.

So, if you want stock -.05 camber or so that would be 255> 235 wide tire.

just getting back on this now that i have 5 minutes. so I am running 2 degrees camber in the front where i am rubbing with my 255 40 17 tires. I think I may be able to clear if I run 225 or 235 tires in the front? but wondering if 235 would be a stretch on 9.5 width wheels and if i bend them tabs in.

Hey so I spoke to silverTRD about this but maybe for further confirmation. He is running a 17x10+38 w/ a 255/40-17 with his fenders rolled and says he doesnt have issues.
Im looking to do an 18x9.5+35 w/ 255/35-18. If my calculations are correct the wheel height should be about the same and despite the difference in offset with a narrower wheel 10 vs 9.5 it should be about the same. Can I get away with this? Will I have to run any camber or a smaller tire up front? Im not opposed to a smaller tire but wanting to avoid camber.

That will rub in the front without rolling, camber, and/or smaller tires.

With +35 I'd go with 245/35-18 fronts. At +44 you'll be less likely to have rubbing issues.

Camber is not a big deal, you can run -2 degrees or more without a tremendous impact on tire life if you keep toe minimized. I run -3 front -2 rear for street/track. For street-only I'd probably still run something like -2 front, -1.5 rear for cornering grip and handling balance.

Which part of the fender were you rubbing?

Was it just the fender liner being rubbed because you're "too low", or was the tire actually rubbing the metal part of the fender?
I'm trying to figure out what I can fit on stock fenders, either with or without the fender liner...

Anyone remove the fender liner with good results? What do you do to compensate, if anything?
