No, a 17x8 35mm is already pushing it, so this wider wheel will need a spacer.

Ok, so with a different offset they would fit all around?

The tires will rub against the suspension, you will need 10mm spacers, and then they might rub the fenders.

Ok, well what about 17x8 with a +35?

you can get away with 225/45/17's with those wheels, but nothing wider. are you on coilovers or stock style shocks? that makes a difference.

You might still rub up front. Thats a really borderline offset, especially with stock suspension.

Here is the clearance on a 17x8.5 30mm offset wheel(enkei rpf1) with stance coilovers. With the stock suspension I had a little more clearance between the shock and the rim, but because of the way the stock springs are I would of had less room for the tire.

I hope this helps.

You have to remember that that is without a tire... most tires have a rim protector that helps protect the rim from curb rash... they tend to stick out beyond the lip of the rim

I dunno...I ran a 17X8 +35 with a 5mm spacer in the front of my TII with no issues at all...

That 5mm spacer makes all the difference.

Would that size spacer require longer studs?

I ran that on size wheel Tein Flex's with no spacer. Yes it was pretty tight but I was also running a 235/45/17 tire that's a little wider than most folks use and I still didn't have any rubbing.

I should mention that it did force me to run a bit more camber (~2.5 deg) than I normally would on the street until I rolled the fender lip a bit.

what tire size do you have for the front, with the 5mm that made the offset to 30mm. nice, well if the front works I believe 30mm will be fine in the back

Instead of going with 17x8.5 I'm going to go with 17x8 +35. I believe this will fit, but I might get a 10mm spacer. Would a cheap ebay space do the job or will I need longer studs?

There is no hard and fast rule, because every wheel's different. Some wheels need longer studs WITHOUT spacers. The ONLY way to know for sure is to get the wheel and spacer and see if you can still get AT LEAST 8 FULL turns of the nut. If so then you're ok, if not then you need longer studs.

I have 17x8 +35 with 225/45/17 in front, and it rubbed on the fender sometimes,...I rolled the fender lip now, and now there is no rubbing,...but when I took off the wheels, I saw a spot on the springs which looked like the tire was rubbing there ...no dust on that spot.
...but I can't use spacers,...I have no room to the fenders :/
maybe I'll buy camberplates and make more negative camber, to make handling and fender clearance better.
And I have a front camber adjuster that adjusts only the wheel,...so I think it could work when I make more negative camber with camber plates, and a little more positive with those other adjusters....
then - I think, should have more fender and suspension clearance

suspension : KYB AGX + RSR Race Springs

Yes I know... That is with the stock bolts, I will be running cam bolts to gain a little more clearance and correct scrub radius.
