17s (F) and 18s(R) or 17s all around in FD

At the moment I am using 8x16 all around and with coilovers it's very very low...so I want to keep that look..
2 of the options were 7 or 7.5'' cos here the local tire dealers can not find easily 8'' wheels in 114.3..

Listen to what some of the vets are telling you..
If you are looking for "performance" stock rims with Great set of tires will do better than some shitty *** wheels with large diameter.
If you are looking into 17x7.5s, you are NOT looking for performance unless you are only planning to go straight.. if that, then go even skinnier!
And 18s all the way making the car look lifted.. well, think about what you are saying.. you want to put 18s in the rear and 17s in the front?? what size tires.. because pending tire size, you could have your front of the car dipping lower and your rear raised..
By they way, 11s are way too wide for stock fenders and quarters.. and offset will play major role when it passes 9.5-10 inch in width.
rynberg unfortunately I cant find the wheels I want in 8'' wide, so i am looking in skinnier wheels...which arent my choice..this is why I asked all of you first before answering my local tire dealer..
I remember that in my fc3s when I changed the OEM wheels and put in 18s, I had to put sideskirts on because the car looked very high...

herblenny since the fd rear fenders are hugh I believe that i wont have any problems with 18s..I want the car very low and this is why I am looking into 8x17 f and 9x18 r...with 225/45/17 and 255/35/18 tires.. what do you think?
Also I have coilovers and I would be able to maintain a proper height with that setup..

Going with a skinnier wheel (even staying 8" IMO) will contradict your stated preference of performance over looks.....
Again with the height issue....there is no difference in tire diameter between 16 and 18" wheels with the proper tire sizing. The tire sizes listed in your last post have the same diameter as stock and will not effect lowering the car.
rynberg so with the wheels and tire sizes in my last post I would be ok huh? without changing the stock diameter of course..
What is your recommendation for a car the pushes more than 500hp at wheels??...I like my car very very low in height and I am looking for the proper wheel and tires package without having to alter the height of my car..or having the mud guards and flares ''touched'' all the time by the wheels..
SOrry for all my questions, maybe I am sounding silly, but I trust you all completely, thus all these questions
Tomorrow I will post some pics of the car..
Thanks again in advance!

Black7Conv,
My suggestion would be: 17x9F and 17x10R with a +45 to +50.
You most likely won't be able to pick wheels up to match those specs at your local wheel shop. With those offsets, you should be able to run the car pretty low without problems.
