17 x 8 35 offset what size tires?

I just got some 17" x 8 rims with 35mm offset and i'm wondering what the biggest size tires i can go with without rubbing. (for front setup)
i've looked at the scuderiani site but there's a lot of mixed up information

i just want a quick answer, not compare all their setups.

Say ****?

For 17x8, 225/45-17. I recommend 245/40 for an 8.5" wide wheel, and 255/40 for a 9" wide wheel.

FC?
on my FC the +35offset 17x8 fronts allow a 235/45R17 tire to fit, with Tein Flex coilovers there is great clearance between tire and the spring. the 235 wide tire is just at the fenders edge, it might require a slight pulling out and upward by hand on the fender's top edge but nothing major at all. the 235 wide tire sits very squarely on an 8" wide wheel.

I run 255/40R17 on 17x9 rears, same +35 offset, perfect fit again... about a half inch between the tire and rear control arm yet there is twice that between the tire and spring... with perfect fit to the fender lip. the 255 wide tire sits very squarely on a 9" wide wheel, you could even go 265 for a square fit.

I hope these pics arent too big.....

By experience (for an FD), 17" x 8 rims with 32mm offset will accommodate a 245/40. Any wider or taller and you'd be asking for trouble.
