17" wheels on a first gen
what do you guys think? will a 17"x7 wheel with 205/40/17 fit on a gsl-se without too much trouble? thanks in advance for replies!

should fit just fine, just be careful of your offsets...
35 would be about ideal.. up to 40, but no higher. (depending on the shape of the tire you might rub against the spring and require a small spacer)
I run 16x7 40mm on a 205 45 16 with no real issue,but I've got coil overs.

Im running 215/40R17's on the front of my FB with 235/40R17's on the rear with Racing beat springs and Tokico blues... Front rub very slightly when the wheel is cranked fully.. You dont notice unless your tryin to make them rub.. Rims are a 42mm offset..

i like 15's and 16's. i'm putting on a set of 15's with some thick rubber for my fb. 17's are just too much sometimes... this is a tiny *** car.
