17 wheel?

I am planning on putting 17x9.5 in the rear and not sure what size to go with up front 17x8 17x8.5 17x9 17x9.5? What will give me the most balanced handling? The car will be used on the street and at the track.

Isn't using the same size wheels on front and back give you better cornering, because a staggered set up is used for drag racing, but im not too sure.

It depends on how your suspension is set up. Goodfella and Howard Coleman would probably be the people to ask, but FWIW, almost all high performance RWD cars that are made for autox and road racing come with staggered wheels. S2000, RX-7 (late models), Elise, Corvette, etc. And you'd have a mighty hard time stuffing a 10" wheel up front on an FD.

Skinnies are for drag racing, but I think staggered can be for anything.

OIC! I didnt know that a staggered set up encompassed so many different styles, i thought the only reason you would have a staggered set up is for drag racing.

17x8.5 or 17x8 up front is good. doing stagger will be depends on your tire sizes on the front and rear.
