17" or 18" front drag tires

Does any one have any experience with fitment or an idea where i can find a tire for the front that would go on a 17" or 18" rim. I would like something narrow that would fit on a 4" to 6" rim. (trying to save a little weight!)

I heard of some people using motor cycle tires and others using vintage racing tires but have no other information or input.

I need something around 25" to 26" tall but narrow.

Most front drag tires are not that tall except for what is designed for a 15" rim.

I would also be concerned that the tire would be able to handle the load and speed of an FD at 150mph.

Thanks in advance for any input that might help me find what i am looking for.

First it is important to know if youa re going to run a radial or bias ply rear tire. I have seen you make other posts, and it looks like you are leaning towards something like a MT ET Street, which are bias ply. So you really need to find a bias ply front. With all that being said, you are pretty much out of luck.
I plan on running motorcycle tires on the front of my FC using the spare 16 inch wheels.

I would like to run a bias ply rear tire but am having a hard time finding something that would work on the front. I need at least a 17" rim to clear brakes. Mickey Thompsan makes an 18" tire that is 5" wide and 24" tall used for street rods. Even though this is a radial tire, i was wondering if it could be run with a bias ply rear due to its narrow width.

I was considering the bike tire route but do they hold up to the forces of a 3000lb car ecspecially when braking at high speeds.
