safc II help

i need to reset the safc II in my 87TII. My friend changed the screens on me, and i don't know how to get back to original screen which was air/fuel ratio. Also, i asked previous owner and he said make sure it is set to flap. I have 255 walbro,550 injectors, tb modded, 3"rb exhaust, stock turbo. i think thats all the engine mods, stock bov, and it does have a fcd. was told there is safc II directions posted here. thanx robrxray

I think the reason for no fast responses here is we are trying to think how you might be reading A/F ratios on the S-AFC
Mine shows:
AIR = air flow %
Cor = correction %
THR = TPS %
RPM = tach
PRS = manifold pressure

thanx sureshot, i had the safcII reset by an expert and he asked me what screen info i wanted displayed, i said the air/fuel - throttle screen was what i thought was displayed previously, and he pointed out that it is air flow. Yes, i have a 30% hearing loss from work/rock music, when people talk it sounds like their further away so i make mistakes. the safc was reset and there are 4 channels displayed. low throttle at 10%, high 50%. the car idles great now, and found out my throttle is wide open at 1/4 throttle. due to bad throttle linkage cable. also, might be bad tps or adjustment needed. I am thinking of buying mazdatrix tester for tps and saw you had manuals listed somewhere in a profile. can you send me that in pm or e-mail? your posts are great and i let you know i am vice president of centralflarxclub

All S4's have only a short range TPS. It hits the end of its stroke at 1/4 throttle. Only the S5's came with a full range TPS.

There are some threads here on using the boost signal into the gray THR wire on the S-AFC.
That way it goes to the high map only when boost is high.

The easiest option is the use the boost signal for the throttle input signal.
That way you get the high map when you actually need it, not when you may need it.
Tha S-AFC is happy with either.

To get a fullrange TPS on an S4 you're going to have to fabricate brackets & an actuator cam on the linkage. If you get an S5 TB, then you have to fabricate a linkage to work the MOP or go to pre-mixing.

Next mod - some bigger secondary injectors.
Can you contact the PO? Maybe you already have them.
If not you can cross reference the part number molded in the plastic part of the injector.
