Safc II harness option

I don't want to spend a $150 on harness and I don't care to cut on my stock harness...I had read somewhere that the fd harness will fit into the back of the S5 ECU and work for the safc...can anyone validate this? For some reason the fd safc harness is a lot cheaper. Thanks

The SAFC only comes with one universal harness. You splice into the factory harness for your tps and stuff. I guess I'm confused as to your question. What do you need a fd harness for. Nothing for the SAFC plugs into the factory harness.

you can buy model specific harnesses for the safc. I just dont want to drop the scrilla it costs for one for an fc...it's a bit spendy compared to other ones.

haha the only reason I want the harness is so I can disconnect on the fly. I'll probably just pick up some tabbed splicing pieces so where I splice the wire harness the apexi harness can clip on/off.

One more question, how and what size injectors should I upgrade to?

Basic mods on an s5 TII (intake/exhaust/wastegate ported) if that helps.

You can't disconnect on the fly. Doing so will open the AFM circuit and cause your engien not to run or atleast not run good. On a S4 engine it will cause the engine to flood or run excessivly rich and will be hard to rev past 1000-1200 rpm.

You can disconect with the universal harness as well. There is a very small plug about midway in the SAFC harness that you can unplug from.

You will need to install a switch of some sort some where to close the AFM circuit when doing so .

Why do you want to disconnect on the fly?

There is only one harness that I have seen for our cars. That is at Rx7.com. I actually think there is another harness but both are expensive.

Start practicing soldering and shrink tubing.
