Questions on how the S-AFCII works.
When i get back from my deployment. I'm planning on getting full exhaust, fcd, mbc, s-afcII, and wastegate ported (later on planning on getting 720cc primary and secondaries). Currently my car is stock (87 TII). Is choosing the ammount of fuel you want to use for a certain RPM how the injector duty cycle gets increased/decreased? Does this increase the duty cycle of both primary and secondary injectors since the secondaries come on at 3500-3800 (don't remember when exactly)? Along with that I read that it's max adjustment is +/-50% that means max ammount of fuel that can be injected would be an additional 50% of what the ECU would normally inject correct? I assume that there isn't anyway to select injector sizes so i got one more question. Getting oversized injectors, let's say 1600cc for example, would be pointless other than the fact that it would put less stress on them? I'm new to fuel tuning and this will be my first time going past just normal bolt-ons that I have done with previous cars. Final one i swear, this should be a safe setup right? Thanks for your time.
In general 1000cc injectors corrected my the S-AFC to -50% deliver about what 550's were with no correction. It's like watering your house plants with a fire hose. It works, but it's messy.
That kind of headroom is usefull only if you're going for >300 HP with a big turbo at high boost through a FMIC.
The S-AFC offsets the air flow signal to achieve the correction and the ECU will only accept reasonable voltage values before it throws a code.
The S-AFC is OK if your goal is just to push up the boost a little with some inexpensive mods.
My car is in that class.
If you're shooting for the 300 HP range, the AFM will hit max as low as 3K RPM, so you're winging it in de-facto speed/density mode above 3K.
It works, but it's very risky.
For that you need a stand alone ECU.

Thanks for the information. Glad it automatically adjusts fuel for me =) Max HP I plan on having is 250hp at the flywheel. When you were referring to 300hp was that whp? I should be good for 250fwhp. Once again thank you.
I was thinking RWHP.
I'm set up for about 230RWHP right now. That's with 3 years of minor mods and a rebuild.
About 2 months ago I did a 2nd gear pull with the G-tech which showed 233 net HP.
It will hang with a stock FD.
