Noobish question

I know nothing about SAFC IIs at all so lets try not to flame the retard. OK, I was just wondering if you need an aftermarket ECU to use one of these or does it works with the stock one? Also, do you need to buy anything else for it to work on my FC?

hola.... an S-AFC is called a "piggyback" computer meaning it uses/rides your stock ECU. It alters the air flow meters input to the stock ECU.. N/A guys use SAFCs just as much as us Turbo guys do. you dont need anything else on your car but its always nice:-) if you ever change injector sizes/ exhaust these thing help out.. i hear you can get 10hp out of a stock engine N/A with nothing else using these

I've got an HKS intake now and i'm wanting to get some borla exhaust eventually with a bonez race pipe. would i need to get a wideband o2 sensor with the SAFC too or no?

For tuning purpose an O2 sensor isnt a bad idea.
Or you could have it dynotuned.

Dont worry about A/F ratio with those mods, youre still pig-rich

Im running a streetport - intake and custom true dual exhaust on the stock ECU without problems

Oh I wasn't concerned about being too lean, I was just wondering what kind of additional gains I would see with a SAFC and my intake and then with my intake and exhaust. I probably should have been specific and asked that question. Ooops. Basically, I just want to know if it would be worth the money to get one.
