Help UNWIRING SAFC

Strangely enough, the FD i just aquired has BOTH a power FC and SAFC.. i wanna remove the SAFC but I do not know how to unwire the damn thing and no one will tune it until it's removed. I also believe having the double EMS is screwing up my AFR and my car is running like crap now.

Before unhooking it, I would zero out your PFC. Removing the SAFC could also be adding or removing fuel and if it is, any corrections on the PFC could screw the engine up more.

The SAFC is simple to remove. There should be only ONE wire that is cut and that is the AFM wire. Find 2 wires from the SAFC that connect to 2 seporate wires and are NOT SPLICED. You should see that the 2 wires from the SAFC will connect to the same wire except one half is at the ECU plug and one half is from the harness. Both halfs should be the same color as well.

I wish I had a wiring diagram but I don't.

All other wires from the SAFC should only be spliced and not redirected. If ya know what I mean.

SAFC has been removed... thanks :-) but unfortunately the problem with my car has not vanished. it actually had gone away for 2 days until i unhooked the SAFC. i tried hooking it back up to see if the problem went away but it made no difference. so lost

Describe your problem a little more. When does the AFR change? How far does it change?
