diferences between safc2 and safc neo?
whats the differences of the apexi safc2 and the safc neo? And has anyone use a safc neo on a s5 n/a? Im trying to decide which to get for 91 s5 n/a and find out its pros and cons of each.

As far as I can remember the only technical difference is that the neo has more point of adjustment 22 i think while the safcii has just 16.
Of course the neo has a full color screen and other fancy stuff but as for tuning its just slightly more fine tuneable.

I think the SAFC II has a knock sensor input (if not, please correct me!) The Neo Doesn't. So it's probably not as good a choice for a turbo? But it does have more corrective points and the color screen. Plus it's black and that matches more interior set ups. You can also pic screen and button colors and the orange settings match the stock illumination perfectly. Very neat.
I have one installed on my N/A S5 but I haven't started the motor since its rebuild yet. I'll let you know how well the Neo Works. =]

My Dilemma on picking either SAFC2 or NEO....
Well my setup on my 91 N/A is blitz air filter, RB downpipe & pre-silencer and soon to get RB cat back, RB wires and other basic mods. I use this as a daily driver and have some suspenion work on it. I dont intend to use it on the track, but do enjoy the curvy roads and freeway junctions and enjoy a pleasnt weeekend drive with it. When the time comes to rebuild the engine i do plan on street porting it. I would like to increase a lil more power and maybe increase mpg(fuel) with either or SAFC2 and NEO.
For the setup i have (and planning to do) which of two, the SAFC2 and NEO works best for me?

^^ I'll be sure to let you know how it all works out. It's been raining on my *** EVERY DAMN WEEKEND! Fawk.
I'm so close to getting it started. I mean, I'm up to building oil pressure already. It just downpours on me out of the blue. This comming weekend will rain too.
But as soon as I get some feel for the Neo and how it works, I'll make a post and maybe some vids too. The guy who built my motor, though, he's kind of giving me a nudge into trying a turbo N/A. Y'know, just a cheap Ebay T70 or something with a cheap manifold, cheap I/C, cheap wastegate...y'know. Run about 7lbs tops with little more than help from the Neo. I'm sure I'll need to up the injectors but that's not difficult. I already have a better fuel pump. We had even considered using the twin turbo setup from an FC and having them both dump but controlling boost and having to fab exhaust crap might be a nightmare.
So, we'll see just how this T70 setup works out.
