Just wanted to let ya'll know about the drift events we've been have and future events. The first two events were great and we are want to see more faces. THe next event's tentative date is July 16, 2005. They are held at the Walnut Ridge Airport in Northeast Arkansas. For more info or to talk to more midsouth Drift, rally, grip,etc enthusiasts Check out www.tractionoptional.com.

There will also be a time attack class if you want to do that or are not comfortable to start drifting immediately.

Traction Optional is the name of group running it. Its a few guys from memphis and a formula D driver from Walnut Ridge AR. (Ranzo From Drift Society and Grip Video). The first 2 events were practice events. This event will have practice runs for the first part of the day and a comp. the rest. I don't beleive there are payouts seeing that they barely break even right now starting out. Just probably have some awards of some sort.

There were a couple of tandems at the end of the last one. But it depends on if someone feels comfortable driving with you.

Drift Day #3 - July 16
Location - Walnut Ridge Airport in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas
- Drift practice session
- $40 for pre-registered drivers. $50 at the door
- Spectators watch for free

*Event Schedule*
Driver Check in and tech from 8-9:30am with a brief driver's meeting following
Drifting begins ASAP, around 10am
Break for lunch from 1:00-2:00
Drifting continues from 2:00-5:00
Please bring your own helmet. You will not be allowed on the course if you are not wearing a helmet. If you do not have your own helmet, please make arrangements beforehand to borrow one from a friend. Safety first!
