Good turn out today. The UGR lambo that made 1938 hp on their dyno broke on the last run today. I thought we had to be concerned, they are traveling w/ 2 extra motors.

A couple buddies of mine and I were standing down by the car when the engine hoist was coming out and those fellas were jerks. Running everyone away like it was some top secret project and no one had security clearance. They tried to run the rental car into us to move us away. They way they acted it should break again tomorrow.

see everyone there tomorrow.

One of the lambos had a bad wreck today. flipped it end over end 5 times and the driver walked away. It was crazy. I'll post up more about it later.

I did see a red FC that was running, I talked to the guy a few times, never got to see his runs though. Back in march on a smaller turbo and different setup, he did mid 170mph easing into it

Nice! So wonder why more rotarys don't do this. It's not a race and would always do well in this. Specially these supposed to be bad *** 20b swapped cars. I been wanting to go for awhile now and try it out but I can never get off work

Ouch that sucks to hear, his run this previous March was impressive on a smaller turbo. My friend snapped a picture of it as we were leaving

Wow small world. The owner said that he didn't know too much about it, he must have just bought it from you.

Couple shots from the March event

He put a new motor in it, the 196 run was with a 440 cid lsx. The new engine is a turbocharged LS3 (378 cid). During testing at Mojave they went 207 with only 4.9 psi and on the next run lost ring seal in #7, resulting crankcase pressure blew out the rear main seal. They pulled the motor and missed the Texas event.

The ring land on #5 and #7 seem to be the ones that break on the non built turbo LSX motors. Head over to the corvette forums and see how much they spend to make 550-600 at the wheels. Just goes to show that w/ FI everything can break.

Yes, but I would not have wished that on anyone. It was quite scary to watch and I am glad everyone is healthy. A car can be replaced.
