Sand blasting in Ft Worth or vicinity?
Anyone have a hook up to get a car and miscellaneous parts sandblasted? I was quoted $1600 today for soda blasting. I almost fell out. I'm going to contact the PMB guy but I've got a feeling that will be $$ as well.
Any input is appreciated.

Blast Away
Never sandblast a car that you might someday, need to do body work on, as it surface hardens the sheet metal, to a point where its VERY hard to work. If you want to get it lite and clean at the same time, use a body grinder, or chemicals (acid dip) Talk to Chris about this as he had a thread about it a while back. DICK
I've figured out the best thing to strip the surface of the car: a couple Mexican's and a couple dual-action sanders, along with a pack of 60-grit. Seriously. A lot cheaper than blasting or dipping.
For individual parts... what are you talkin'? I've got a cabinet that could do something about the size of a beer keg (or rotary!
) and a couple standalone units if it's bigger than that.
I was just fixin' to shoot you an email, Paul. I'm assuming this is for the new EP car?
