Pretty awesome meet, not too many people but had some great chat and met quite a few new RX-7/Rotary owners here in San Antonio.

The meet will be the FIRST Saturday of every month at ~8PM at the Pigstand

 

Darren, thanks for the feedback. I will do my best for next month. Hopefully we are getting something started here. A friend of mine was there, he was on his 1st gen I belive. We need to keep spreading the word. Hope to meet u soon...

 

Right on boss, I believe hopefully next time there will be a 13B Bridged Corolla and possibly a Starlet out as well. The guy who started it was a real cool dude and just wanted to get the word out as best as possible to get somethin going because afterall San Antonio doesn't have a "Rotary/RX-7 Club" so I'm definitely with ya on hoping this expands to get all of the SA and surrounding Rotary Community together once a month for a little fun.

 

Damn missed out on this one. Seems pretty cool tho, sounds like a couple of the guys that I've met at the Biffs and Fuddruckers meets.

We used to have a fairly decent club going, SARX7 Club, but it slowly died off and most of the members moved over to a new site, AlamoMotoring. Will be trying to plan more get togethers, cruises & track days once the weather cools down some. Know the RX8 guys wanna do something too.

 

Yeah, I saw that craigslist ad last week also, but I had to go to Austin last night and couldn't make it.

Definitely will try to make the next one.

Darren, are you the guy who came by the shop and got the master off the GSL-SE?

 

Yezir, that would be me, shoulda got the brake booster too when I had the chance, mine died like 4 days after I put the new master on

My RX-7 has been put on standby until next summer unfortunately but I'll try to make it out in the Cobalt if I'm not at mud fest.

MM is at San Antonio Raceway out off of I-10 about 20 minutes east of 1604.

 

tonight is the meet again for the month of october. the guy who originally got this going, his name is mike. He has the grey fb with the mirrors on the fenders.

i hope more people show up tonight. it starts at 8 just as a reminder. hope to see everyone out there!

Making plans on next month meet for the first time. This months meet lands on the same night as Midnight Madness at the track.

Sounds like it is growing.

 

Sounds good gents, I'm gonna be wrenching on the car Friday and most of Saturday to try and get the car back into a running order in which I can feel it's not acting up [just have an odd feeling] so I might be able to get it out to the meet or if not I'll just be the tall dude with the Cobalt.

 

Is anything planned for this month?

 

Should be, there was a smaller showing last month and most of the RX-8 guys skipped out pretty early I guess to go cruise. I'll be by in the Cobalt as the RX-7 is on lawn ornament duty. Hopefully the weather doesn't keep people away.

 

I wont be able to make it, holiday party for work is that night... lamest excuse ever, I know.

 

BUMP!!!

Anybody made it to the last meet on the 4th Dec? I showed up for the November one at around 9:45-50PM and to my surprise there was nobody there, not even the RX-8 guys. Did everyone called it quits or is it too cold???

 

The Dec was almost non-existant, there were 3 FCs, an FD, Miata and an AE86, and mike with his FB. Dunno why everyone suddenly dropped off the face of the earth but then again most what we did was just stand around and talked for a bit then left, not much of a plan other than that.

As far as Novembers meet, RX-8 guys left pretty early, I coulda sworn we were all there past 10:00 but I'm not sure.

I'll try to keep making it out but as my car is getting overhauled it's gonna be a few months before I can actually drive it again.
