RX7 competes in local rally
One of 44 cars entered in the Clear Blue Sky Rally was RX7 #42. They came in 17th in the First-Timer class in their cabriolet. Five other Mazdas competed in the all day competition: three Miatas, a Mazdaspeed3, and a Mazdaspeed6.
Rallymaster Clif Palmberg of the SCCA created a challenging course, but the 105-degree heat was even more of a problem, sending two cars limping home with heat-related troubles.
The next rally in the series will be in September, so should be a little cooler. It also will be not quite so long, and a bit simpler. Information on this event will be posted on this forum soon.

We'll hopefully be attending the September rally provided it doesn't interfere with the preperations for or fall on SevenStock weekend. If we can get two more 7s to enter the next rally we can have a 3 car team.
These are fun and if you like driving your 7, seeing the Texas countryside, and roaming city streets then you'll enjoy these rallies.

Who's that good looking guy representing one of the best College Baseball Schools in the Nation? Even let some local school have one of our coach's.
Hey, we came in ahead of 4 other cars. I call that a score for a couple first timers. It was really fun.
Next road work is the SevenStock 13 road trip. How many cars we going to have for that Rally?
