RX-Club of Houston Monthly Meet @ Gabby's BBQ - January 10th 2012
Greetings all,
Time for a little BBQ down at Gabby's.
Remember dusk comes a little early this time of year (around 5:45 PM) but we do have permission to park in the well lit parking lot adjacent to the resturant now. This also means we have tons of parking. Those of you who came to the last Gabby's meeting also know the parting lot has been resurfaced and is nice and smooth and there are plenty of spots to park.
We are working on a guest appearance for this meeting as well so check back for updates.
Where: Gabby's BBQ - 3101 N. Shepherd Houston, Texas 77018 Ph. 713.864.5049
When: 1/10/2012 - Parking lot @ 6p (or earlier) / Dinner @ 7p / Come early, stay late!
See you at Gabby's!

As of right now, looking at weather reports tomorrow afternoon should be fine.
However, ask yourself this question... if the rain continues would/should I go to a meeting?
From the RX-Club standpoint we want to hold the meetings when we have the best chance of seeing the most members attend. This is also the concern of safety since the roads can be rather unkind to our sportscars when the slick stuff hits the pavement.
I know there are many who won't pull their car out of the garage if there is the slightest hint of rain, whereas there are others who could care less if there was a hurricane rolling into town (Free car wash anyone?) We do our best to decipher local weather reports, add in a bit of personal experience and rely heavily on what the weather is doing the morning of the club meeting.
Sometimes we get it right, sometimes we don't... however as long as all of our members (and their rotaries) are safe I don't care either way.
If it helps I have added this meeting status page to the club website: http://www.houstonrx7club.com/meeting/ (I will be revamping it soon to add in some of my favorite tools for figuring out this wonderful Texas weather)
