Thumbs up RX-Club of Houston April 2011 Monthly Meet 4/12 @ Gabby's BBQ Thread

Greetings all,
This months meet shifts back up to the near northside. Time for a little BBQ down at Gabby's. Tuesday night is usually the 3 Meat Sampler special, but everything on the menu is pretty decent.

This is the first meet of the "Spring/Summer" season. The days are later and we should have sunlight until 7:30-8pm. Also, do remember we have permission to park in the parking lot adjacent to the resturant.

We will be looking to see just how many rotaries and other Mazda sportscars we can fill in the parking lot for this meet so feel free to invite your Miata driving, Protege loving, Mazda3/6 enthusiasts friends. Maybe we will have some cool stuff in attendance for everyone to enjoy.

Where: Gabby's BBQ - 3101 N. Shepherd Houston, Texas 77018 Ph. 713.864.5049

When: Parking lot @ 6p / Dinner @ 7p / Come early, stay late!

See you soon,
Keith

Ill do my part to wrangle in other mazdas. We should make cards to pass out when we run into other rotary owners.

Side note: I thought there was some sort of Fat tuesday giveaway on the last one, but i only saw Keith as i was pulling in? Just magically evaporated.

^^^ I wouldn't worry about the purge solenoid, it shouldn't effect how the car runs.

The water thermosensor is the one you need to fix! Car will run like *** without it functioning.

^^^ Yes, all the purge solenoid does is release fumes from the charcoal canister to be burned. Its an emission thing.

car started up! but my charge light, as well as abs, low coolant and oil pressure lights are on, i could understand if my coolant light was on because i lost some replacing the water thermosensor. maybe my alternator went out?

^^^ yep. Alternator sounds gone but put a meter on it just to make sure you don't have a goofy wire somewhere.
