Registration/Smog

Is smog a requirement for registering out of state vehicle in the Dallas area? thanks!!!

How's the emission test carried out and do car have to pass it in order to register the car and be issued current stickers?

The scenario is, I have 20B from Califronia and want it to bring to Texas. Thanks for the info.

On a dyno with a sniffer probe in the tailpipe. I believe you can register the car but you must pass emissiones to be street legal and get the inspection sticker for your windshield. Someone please chime in if I'm wrong.

I thought you had to have the inspection done (passed) before you could register it. I *know* you have to have proof of insurance for both an inspection and registration.

Note Dallas (county) is one of the counties that has more stringent requirements:
