Rack Rebuild?
Anyone know of a place in houston that rebuilds power steering racks? Mine is pissing all its fluid past the drivers side seal. Ive searched on the web and the closest place I could come up with is in fort worth.
Do you truly believe that it will be more cost effective to have it rebuilt/remanufactured rather than simply replacing it with an already remanufactured unit available at mosty auto parts stores (with a lifetime warantee I believe.)
Please share any information you find as I'd be intrested in knowing this as I'm sure many members would as well.

Mazdacompetition does not have new ones in stock and I have been lazy shopping for one.
Most likely, they have them already rebuilt and it is your core + $$$.
Which would be the same as you suggested.

That is a sin.
Thanks James, I'll look into it if they can match or fix mine.
I'm assuming a problem with mine, since after hitting a curve and aligning the car, it still pulls to the left.
Also, I get this weird kind of binding, only when turning left.
I have to do more research to do before I buy another.
