Quad State Meet Cruise from Tulsa/OKC

Anybody from Tulsa/OKC going to the Quad State Meet? If so we should get a cruise together. I plan on going down Friday morning or afternoon to visit my uncle in Dallas before the meet but if everybody else needs to wait I can too. I've never been out of the state by myself so I'd greatly appreciate a group trip.

I am still hoping to be able to make the trip. I cannot say for sure that I am going, only that I have it marked on the calender.
The way gas prices have been going this summer, I don't know if I can even afford the fuel cost, and I averaged over 25MPG on my last D/FW road trip in the car.
Record high gas prices, and oil companies with record profits. I know there is a connection, I just can't figure it out................

Ya know, I tried one tank of gas where I kept it under 3750 rpms and I think my gas mileage was even worse! And it's just not fun unless you hear the beep.

LOL, and to think, that included making a few laps around Texas Motor Speedway. Yes, on the high banked oval, at about 75-80 MPH.
I'da never thunk an '83 woulda knocked down that decent of fuel mileage, but it does. I wonder what it would do if I learned to lighten up a bit on the throttle????????
BTW, I get 20+ consistantly around town, even with my heavy foot syndrome. But I do tend to keep it under 4K most of the time, cause ya never know when a cop might be within hearing distance. Anything over 4K will get a loud POP out the exhaust, with people ducking for cover.

Yeah. 25mpg is amazingly good. I doubt I get anywhere near 20. All the northern groups of cars could meet somewhere near the OK/TX border on the way.

Hit us with a link (in this thread) to register. I know it's buried somewhere in the main thread, but I had to cut exspenses, and the DSL was one of the first to go. DialYUCK takes forever to hunt the link.
Thanks

BTW, I need it myself, still haven't registered.

A more active thread about the Tulsa area cruise is up at Nopistons here: http://www.nopistons.com/forums/inde...howtopic=54538

Plan is to leave sometime Friday afternoon/evening and return sometime Sunday. Has anybody reserved a room yet? And if so is anybody looking for a roommate to lower the cost?

Ok, the BBQ is less than a week away, any word yet on what time the caravan is leaving Tulsa? Dunno if I will be able to join in the caravan, but I do believe I will be leaving sometime late friday. Already ordered t-shirts and have made plans for a place to stay, even though part of my group may not be able to make the trip.
If all else fails, I will have to leave very early sat morning, but I will make every effort to attend.

We'll leave Friday evening. Sometime after 5pm. Probably closer to 6pm. Give 94touring your phone # here and he'll call you when they're ready to go.
