Open Track Day--July 20--OKC--$30
Yes, thirty dollars.
I'm posting tonight to invite all the rotary folks to come out and enjoy themselves and their cars out on the track with the Z car club and friends. For those of you unfamiliar with the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Training Facility, it is located on N Air Depot Blvd, off of NE 36th St, north of Midwest City. It is a 1 mile roadcourse that runs through a skidpad and contains a great set of "esses", a couple of hairpins, and a fast dogleg. With proper cone setup, what you get is a driving experience that is more satisfying than AutoX but is much less expensive, much less demanding, and much more convenient than Hallett (although definitely slower). For $30, anyone can come out, throw on a helmet, and explore their car's capabilities, improve their own driving abilities.
Bird's eye view of the track:
I welcome any of you to come and join us July 20th and Sept 7th. OzzManG14 made the last event and can vouch for it. It would be great to see more RX-7's at these events especially since they were built with a greater motorsport purpose in mind than most sportscars. Please be sure to make sure your car is somewhat prepped, especially as far as brakes and coolant are concerned with all associated plumbing. It really sucks having to do any sort of work out there. There are ZERO facilities for it. Just you, a hot *** car, and hot *** asphalt and whatever tools you either brought or begged and borrowed off someone else.
To sign up, you must send in an entry form to me prior to arrival. There is a 30 car maximum and I would not count on there being any slots left open the morning of the event. These events are attended by the S2000 club, Subaru club, Mustang club, BMW club, on top of the Z club along with anyone else interested in coming who catches word of it. So slots get snatched up pretty quickly as everyone is given equal opportunity to sign up. Entry forms are available here:

If you have questions feel free to email me or post them on the Z club's forum www.okzcc.com
