New to RX7's

Hi all, I just wanted to start networking with other RX7 owners in Austin, Texas. I really do not know much about the RX7 but am willing to learn. I have been around the car world for most of my life and own a 1972 Buick Gransport, and am building a T bucket with my son. But I recently acquired an 1981 RX7 and was hoping to learn more about it and enjoy the car that I heard can be fun to drive. This will be my Third Mazda, I have owned a Mazda 3S 5 door, I currently own a CX7, and now I own the RX7. Thanks for listening to my banter.

Thanks
Phil Green

welcome

I'm not from the austin area but still from Texas You will get lots of good information off of this site. If you are rebuilding or modifying your seven it is a great resource. Your new seven is not going to snap your head back like an old muscle car but are tons of fun on a curvy road and are really well built in comparison to most older cars you will drive.

How do you like your Buick? Which engine? Was the 455 an option that year? I am sure some Austin guys will chime in soon with contact info, but just wanted to say welcome.

First off welcome to the forum.
There are plenty or rotor nuts in Texas, and from what I know there are a couple in Austin and this is the right place to meet them.
Hope to see you in the First gen section soon. (With no problems I hope)

Sucks you live too far away, this weekend the DFW guys are getting together.
