its actually pretty good. but i do have a quick question. i was putting on an intake today, and when i finished, i went to start the car, and then the car would stall. do u think its the mass air flow sensor? the car worked perfect all the way up until i put the intake on. when i took it off and put the stock one on, it didn't work either. what do u think?
Try putting the intake on and leaving the maf sensor disconnected. A lot of cars run like that even though it's not the best thing for the car, it wont really hurt it. I am sure you can buy an after market maf sensor that is ready for cai. Just a matter of finding one, or you cna just bring it to a shop and see what they say about it.
SouthernRunner, I believe you're wrong. The MAF is critical to the function of the engine - it more or less directly tells the ECU how much fuel to inject.
Yusuf, why don't you just plug the MAF back in? You don't need to worry about running hooking up the filter if you're just idling and tinkering around for a few minutes (as long as you make sure nothing gets sucked in..)

Hello.

Anyways... On these cars it is called an AFM.
Since this car is an S4, make sure that the AFM is level and not upside down. Plug the AFM (a must). Check to make sure the flapper is still moving freely.

i didn't think about that. it was really weird. i put on the intake and the car started then stalled. i sent one of my friends to go pick up a new one of the AFM or MAF sensor. he diagnosed it as one of the sensors being blown out due to the fact the K & N filter sucking up too much air. i'll go and turn around the afm and see if that works. could it be anything else?

Well I know a lot of cars around here don't have them plugged in but I know that is why thier are to fuel ratio is mixxed up. The engines still run good but I didn't know it was a critical thing. Sorry about that false info.
