What car is it for? The early FDs have a drain plug which can be unscrewed to clean the tank.

I used it to drain a dirty tank and flush it with clean gas. The only problem is how to dispose of the old gas, that is for you to decide.

I had the same problem with my tank and could not find anyone to clean mine. So the next best thing is to do it yourself. I used this product from this website and it worked really well. It looked like a new tank inside when I was done.

The problem with the early car tanks is they're baffled. To do a decent job of cleaning one requires cutting a hole in it, steam cleaning, sealing, etc., then rewelding it. When I asked the local guru's what it would cost, even if I cut and rewelded the thing it was still over $100.
