Yep, they will offer you $2-3K for your car at best.

That's about as much as they'd pay for it at auction, I'm guessing. They'd probably go a little more since there aren't any extra fees, but I kinda doubt you'd get all that much out of it. It's weird, tho; guys won't pay $600 for a running and working Miata, but they'll pay $1300 for one (same year, trim level, etc.) for a totally beat to **** Miata. I've been watching the stuff for over a year and I still can't figure out when something will go cheap or expensive (and it's always one or the other... no in between).

I'll rent ya a unit and an impact wrench!

Well, if its the same company, I heard they pay top dollar. Its worth a shot. I'm giving it a week in Autotrader then going to find a buyer for the engine and tranny and make them come get it.

That's the only thing keeping me from parting it out.

Nope. In the process of tearing it down to part it out.

ive had a similar situation in the rain, but i lost total control and spun out. I was lucky enough not to have hit anything, but it did get me thinking about car control.

If you cant get the rear end to straighten out with throttle, pull up on the e-brake slightly and momentairily to stop the rear -- while steering in the direction you want to go.

The rear end would want to stop, the front would want to continue straight causing the car to straighten out.

This is all in theory, dont try this on the street. Next time it rains here im going to try this in a parking lot.
