Does anyone in the SA area know how to properly install a Power FC w/Commander? Give it a safe tune? How much to install?

 

Installing it is easy, it's the tuning that is difficult.

The stock ECU is found in the lower right of the passanger side foot well. The PFC is a plug in replacement for it.

 

I thought clipping of pins or something was involved (I obviously haven't got a clue, which is why I'm asking for help so I dont ruin my car). I didn't think it was plug and go style.

It already has a close to base map but I just want to make it safe until I can get it tuned by a pro. Would it be better to just leave it uninstalled and let the tuning shop install it?

If it is a newer PFC it is a plug and play.

Mine was.

You need to find a rotary shop who can tune your car, not just a run of the mill tuning shop. You may be looking at a trip to Dallas to get it done.

 

I was planning on getting Steve Kan to do it since Ive heard such great things about him.
