Houston Heat is killing me, need A/C help
anyone know a good and fair priced place that is capable to work on RX7 AC units? Mine doesn't have A/C at the moment and it's killing me.
According to the guy who i purchased the car from the A/C parts are on my vehicle just not connected...not sure how much of that is true but i do see the A/C blower i think ( mounted in the engine bay) and some hose...any help would be appreciated.
Also, around how much are condenser ( spl?) cores and the other pieces i would need to make my A/C work?!?
Thanks again.

Call Bryan at Maz-Max 713-896-8005.
Be advised that Mazda has pretty much ceased making parts for FC air conditioning systems so getting parts might be a pain in the ****, expensive or both.
I am sure any good local A/C shop could do the work as well. PS don't trust shops that use the beeping tester things.. those suck. Find a shop that uses a true vacuum recall system and can actually show you cause and effect not what they "think" is the problem.

I talked with Bryan about fixing mine (the compressor took a dump). Basically, it was going to be around $950 - $1000 to replace the compressor and dryer, freon, etc. This was with all the labor and all "new" reconditioned parts. You might be able to find used (salvage) parts but there's no guarantees with the parts and you still have to have the system flushed and pay for all the labor. I'm having to scrape together my pennys, drive my truck, and wait until I can afford to fix it the right way. I can say that Maz-Max has done a great job on the work they have performed for me so far.
