Houma RX7s, Tuning and Performance
Lately, things have gotten interesting around here in Houma and in Greater New Orleans. It turns out that along with general enthusiasm for FDs, Tlls and various iterations of turbocharged 13Bs we're developing a wealth of tuning information and experience. And, we have new blood in the area.
Freddies' shop has a hell of a crew. There's a strong FDLS1 amongst us and a lot of new guys from Des Allemands and two from Pensecola.
The last nights, I rode shotty in a NS stockport FD with an experienced wheelman around a 50 mi. loop of country road and interstate. I datalogged two IGL/IGT maps for knock comparisons and logged fuel settings changes. The hard drives and extended power pulls were done as though cops don't exist. Had we gotten caught I'd be posting this from jail. I one instance we were chased by a 993 C4 twin turbo.
All is not entirely well as two of our best suffered recent engine losses [constructor fault]. Hopefully, their builders will be quick to make things right so that repairs can be completed.
From Houma to New Orleans to Slidell there exists engine, construction, and tuning knowledge base. I think Sevens on the Shore needs to meet together and do something........
.......like a bar-b-q and ECU tuning lesson on a pleasant wknd.

MY FB IS GETTING REBUILT! w000000000t! And all it took was for me to flip my dd into a dtich, too! Heh.
I still don't know when it's going to happen, but my FB will more than likely be the next car that I drive.
Josh (southernrunner) is picking up another FB Saturday, too. This one should be running shortly after getting it, as well; unlike the shell that he has sitting at his house.
I'd love to hang out with you guys again. I generally work on Saturdays, but I knock off at 4-5ish; so, generally, anything past 6-6:30 will be great for me. Sundays are pretty much always open.

I am trying to see if Freddie will do a Turbo II swap into my Fb. My car is giving me **** loads of problems and I want a bigger, faster, and more powerful engine. I am hoping he will be able to do it for me so I don't have to worry about getting stranded somewhere. I was almost stranded last night but the car started up again. I will try and call Jonanthan at the shop this comming week since I had no luck getting ahold of Freddie. I would really like to learn some more stuff on EFI because if I do the swap....Well you know. Just let me know when we are going to meet, because run or no run I am going to get my car there. lol

There's a hole in one of the cooling jackets that goes through the spark plug hole...
