Going to Dallas, what should I go see?
Didn't know whether to put this in the lounge or south forum but oh well...
My boss is sending me on vacation to Dallas and I'm flying out this weekend. I got a ticket to the fair included with my hotel stay at the Hyatt Regency so I guess I'll go there. I also saw online there's a fark.com beer garden style party that's going to be held this weekend so I'll check that out too.
I've never been to Dallas before though so I don't really know what else there is to do. Any suggestions?

Being from a small town:
You could catch the Cowboys or the Mav's preseason if they are in town.
Staying at the Hyatt check out the West End and Deep Ellum. Anyone at the hotel can direct you, or a taxi driver can take you there (its not far).
Six Flags is open weekends.
The museums around Fair Park.
Not much culture in Dallas.

the State Fair is your best bet, its an all day thing, there is exhibits, shows, museums, rides, football, car show. its more then just a bunch of rides.
if your looking for culture, there is the west end and up town. If you want more night life there is lower greenville (great if you like bar hopping). if you cant find anything to do, pick up a Dallas observer (they are everywhere and they are free) it has every little thing thats going on in dallas every weekend.
