FYI Houston, Good Place To Have Irons Lapped

Deco Grinding & Machine in nothwest Houston has been lapping side housings for over 20 years. They have been doing mine for over 8 years.

You do not need to remove any pins, dowel pin locators, or studs from the front housing as the Pineapple Racing video shows. Deco use to do so many housing years ago, that they made a special alingment gig just for the front housings.

$80 total cost for the four surfaces.

Albert is the shop forman.

NO they do not.

According to a rotory shop in North Carolina when I asked about the need to re-nitride, I was told it isn't needed even if the irons have been lapped more than once.

really? Interesting. Thinking about getting my irons lapped since they are in dallas and houston isn't too far from that. Thanks again for the info. 80 bux just sounds cheap compared to racingbeats 70 per side.
